Hello! My name is Olive and I make one-of-a-kind knits in Auckland, Aotearoa New Zealand.

Every piece is made on vintage knitting machines which I have sourced from around Aotearoa. These machines and materials have history. I love adding another chapter.

The Scrappy approach

Scrap yarns are where the magic happens. I work with ethically sourced yarns, deadstock finds, and pre-loved materials that deserve another go. Not much goes to waste here.

Why Scrappy?

The name comes from three things: my love of scrap yarns, a make-do-and-mend approach to creating, and Saturday morning Scooby Doo cartoons (iykyk).

A bit about me

I was raised by crafty people and take inspiration from the folks I surround myself with. I spend any spare time I have in my Auckland studio. Experimenting, turning colour and texture into something wearable. Each piece is made with care, thought, and genuine love for the process.
